This position offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher serving elementary students in grades 3 through 5 within a structured classroom environment. The role focuses on supporting students with autism through the Multi-Intervention Program for Students with Autism (MIPA), which aims to enhance communication, social interaction, on-task behavior, and independent life skills. Manassas, VA Elementary School Setting Job Duration:
Current School Year (CSY) Contract, with potential renewal for Extended School Year (ESY) and Next School Year (NSY) Credentials/Certifications Required: Virginia Teaching License or eligibility to obtain one Job Details: Full-time, 35 hours per week Classroom includes 6 students and support from 2 instructional assistants Daily schedule: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with twice-monthly extended hours until 5:00 PM for staff meetings and professional development Immediate start with commitment through the remainder of the school year Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students needs within the MIPA framework Collaborate with instructional assistants and professional staff to provide a supportive learning environment Monitor student progress and adjust interventions xsgimln to promote growth toward less restrictive educational settings Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development Benefits: Competitive compensation with weekly pay Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options Matching 401(k) retirement plan Qualified candidates who possess a VA teaching license or qualify for licensure and have a passion for special education and autism interventions are encouraged to apply promptly for immediate consideration.
