The JCL Law Firm, APC, exclusively represents California employees in wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative lawsuits. The JCL Law Firm, APC, has recovered 200 million dollars on behalf of California workers in the last three years. The JCL Law Firm is based in San Diego and has offices in Carlsbad and Los Angeles. This position will be based in either Carlsbad or San Diego.
We are seeking a litigation associate. The preferred candidate will have 0-3 years litigation experience but all applicants are encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time, in person position, with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule in the future. The litigation associate will work with a diverse team of attorneys and staff to manage a dynamic wage and hour class action case load. The litigation associate will be responsible for interfacing with clients, drafting law and motion, arguing motions, conducting all aspects of discovery and attending mediations. The base salary for this position is between $110,000 and $140,000, based on experience and qualifications.

* *Fluent in Spanish*; * Prio civil litigation experience; * Strong work ethic; * Work well collaborating with others in team orientated office; * Strong legal writing; * Exceptional legal research; * Federal and State complex litigation experience, e.g., wage and hour class action, securities class action or construction defect; * Experience in all aspects of discovery practice including taking and defending depositions and, drafting and responding to written discovery; * Experience in all aspects of law and motion.
