What You Will Be Doing In This Position
Collaborate with the committee to design and implement new AI حاجة and Data Science programs and initiatives
Assess performance of programs, events, and initiatives after execution
Update the data science website (datascience.byu.edu) to keep faculty lists, research opportunities, course offerings, and events calendar current
Handle logistics for AI and Data Science seminars, including travel for visitors, recordings, and advertising, in coordination with multiple departments
Organize conferences put on by the AI and DS committee, such as the AI for Good conference; coordinate with state‑ and national‑level co‑sponsors and organize travel for invited speakers, recordings, and advertising \ mety. Collect content for and send the weekly Newsletter to faculty and students about upcoming events, research collaborations, and job opportunities
Ensure BYU AI and Data Science is well represented at state‑ and national‑level Data Science, machine learning, and AI events, committees, and initiatives
Assist with meetings, planning, coordination, and logistical matters
What Qualifies You For This Role Minimum Education / Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Education / Experience:
Experience organizing and administrating large projects and events; experience with data analysis, spreadsheets, and website management tools
