is looking for a Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. As a hospital deeply rooted in the local community, you will experience the best of both worlds: a genuine local feel with the benefits of Thrive's national resources.

About You The Lead Veterinary Technician plays a critical leadership role in the day‑to‑day operations of the hospital. This position supports both the medical and client service teams, ensures high standards of patient care, and contributes to a positive, efficient, and collaborative work environment. The Lead Veterinary Technician will report to the Practice Manager (PM).

Role Responsibilities

Foster a positive and professional team culture

Supervise and support technician and CSR teams

Train and mentor staff in patient care and client service

Enforce and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Creating and manage staff schedules

Conduct DEA auditing and maintain compliance

Coordinate equipment maintenance and troubleshoot repairs

Learn hospital P&\#x2019;L concepts to assist with inventory management, ordering, labor costs, and budget awareness

Support marketing initiatives and promotions

Hire, onboard, and train new hires in all areas of patient care and anesthetic monitoring

Conduct staff evaluations, including mid‑year and annual performance reviews

TTP planning

Assist with performance management

Other duties as assigned

Physical and Additional Requirements

Regular and reliable attendance is required

Ability to frequently lift and carry items up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Must be willing to work long hours in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment while maintaining composure

Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach frequently during shifts lasting a minimum of 8 hours

Experience & Skills Requirements

Veterinary technician licensure preferred

1–2 years of clinical experience

Must have surgical, anesthesia, and dental experience
