Summary
The Warranty Technician position will be responsible for managing PUP (Product Update Program) recall notices using our advanced GDS (Global Distribution System) tablet. Additionally, this position will be responsible for examining various systems within a vehicle to diagnose and repair issues. This entails running computerized diagnostic tests to help identify components that might be malfunctioning, interpreting Port Service Bulletins, performing mechanical inspections, running system diagnostics, and replacing/repairing defective components as instructed.
Responsibilities
Perform Port Upgrade Programs (Service Campaigns)
Makes minor repairs to engines, chassis and appurtenances of mechanical equipment.
Make minor repairs, adjustments or replacement of parts. Performs minor servicing and maintenance work.
Test electronic computer components in automobiles to ensure proper operation
Review port upgrade program instructions prior to vehicle evaluation
Perform vehicle testing in preparation for adjustment
Perform Port Upgrade Programs, official service campaigns
Testing, examination, adjusting, servicing and repairs of autos as required by KMA and HMA.
Collaborating with the Operations department to prioritize service for aging vehicles and potentially expediting services based on customer requirements
Demonstrating proficiency in using vehicle mechanic tools, such as hand tools, impact guns/drills, and tire balance machines
Ensuring knowledge and compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements based on the specific tasks performed, including mechanical gloves, eye protection, and other necessary PPE depending on vehicle conditions
Demonstrate proficiency in handling hazardous materials (Hazmat) such as oils and solvents, which are commonly used during vehicle maintenance. Adherence to proper disposal procedures will be guided through comprehensive on‑site training

Skills
Ability to read and write and follow written and verbal instructions in English
Ability to drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles
Ability to diagnose defects in automotive equipment and to apply approved techniques in remedying defects.
Mechanical knowledge Required

Education & Experience
High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
2 years of experience in Automotive Repair and/or Vehicle Maintenance Required
4 - 7 years of experience in Automotive Repair, and/or Vehicle Maintenance Preferred
Training in HazMat / Vehicle Maintenance Required
Valid Driver's License Required
Physical Requirements
Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
Lift up to 15lbs
Carry up to 15lbs
