Summary The VPC Inspector position's primary responsibility is to conduct thorough and accurate pre-delivery and/or final vehicle inspection to ensure vehicle quality standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
Vehicle inspection
Inspect the exterior of new vehicles for any defects and damages
Inspect assigned interior features of new vehicles for defects and damages
Properly identify all quality defects and damages on units coming down their line
Properly identify all defects and damages
Document all quality/damage issues, to track the number of issues and whether they are increasing or decreasing
Report any increase of the same defects to the Supervisor
Report any recurring issues to the Supervisor, so HMMA can be made aware and corrective action can be made
All other duties as assigned under Inspector including, but not limited to:
FIL Inspector
Line-Off Inspector
PDI Inspector
Vehicle Processor
VPC Technician
VPC Inspector
Other duties as assigned
Skills
Must be willing and able to cross-train in other departmental needs
Requires flexibility with schedule including break times as well as working extended hours, weekends, and holidays
Ability to read and write
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles
Ability to record and verify numbers 17 characters in length
Must have demonstrated mechanical abilities
Must have a general knowledge of automobile components
Education & Experience
High School Diploma/G.E.D
Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions
1 year of experience required OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experienced in mechanical, installation experience in a port-processing environment preferred
Physical Requirements

Kneel
Squat/crouch
