We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of a critical external-facing Salesforce application for a Public Sector Solutions (PSS) Benefits Management project. This project involves integrating Salesforce heavily with a separate, external customer-facing web app using a data-virtualization model where the external system is the data source and Salesforce acts as the portal. The ideal candidate will bring deep Salesforce expertise to maximize the use of out-of-the-box Public Sector Foundation - Enterprise Edition features and configuration, minimizing custom code where possible, while also possessing the skills to design and implement complex programmatic solutions when necessary.
Contributions
Architect and design the Salesforce solution, leveraging Public Sector Solutions (PSS) features, providing technical leadership and best practices. Define and implement the Salesforce data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance, considering integrations with external systems. Architect and oversee integrations between the internal Salesforce application and external web application, including API strategy, data mapping, and performance optimization. Lead requirements gathering, translating complex business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions within Salesforce, and effectively bridging the gap between functional requirements and product delivery. Design and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to Salesforce, managing large datasets and complex transformations. Optimize Salesforce architecture, including flows, automation, security configurations, and performance tuning, employing best practices and innovative solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, including developers, technical leads, integration developers, and data architects, reviewing code, providing design input, and keeping teams unblocked. Collaborate effectively with product managers, service designers, and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Champion the effective utilization of benefits management tools within Salesforce PSS. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by leading upcoming release briefings, participating in technology solution reviews, and contributing to a common component library. Support business customers with timely support and remediation for bugs/outages. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. 8+ years of experience with Salesforce, with at least 3 years in a Technical Architect role. Demonstrated experience completing at least one successful digital transformation, including replatforming a legacy system on Salesforce (involving a team of 6+ for over a year), replacing multiple data integrations, and migrating millions of data rows. Proficiency with Salesforce development, including Apex, LWC, Experience Cloud, and Lightning Apps. Proficiency with CLIs and bash scripting, including mastery of Git and sf CLIs, and complex bash commands for metadata manipulation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Self-motivation and ability to learn new concepts quickly. Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Preferred Skills: Experience with MuleSoft, Amazon RDS, and Salesforce Experience Cloud. Exposure to OmniStudio and Public Sector Solutions. Knowledge and experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies. Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 12+ years of relevant experience.
