Job Description Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.

Move, turn or relocate patients as required for their comfort and medical needs.
Demonstrate patience, empathy, intuition and good communicationapatan and organizational skills when interacting with the Care Team.

Minimum Training and Education A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. At least one year of patient‑care work experience in a health-care facility or Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations Basic Life Support is required upon hire. Ongoing BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent, American Red Cross CPR/AED) must be maintained.
Physical Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors and outdoors in temperature extremes, from elevated areas, in confined/crampedlel spaces.connection or from kneeling positions. Ability to bend and twist at the waist, squat, perform "pinching" operations, use gross motor functions, firm grasp, fine manipulation, reach overhead, performound repetitive motions, use lower extremities for balance, reach in all directions, lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted or 50 lbs from floor. Must maintain 20/40 vision, hearing acuity, and tolerate stress. Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, latex-safe environment, and respirator use as required. \ hilfreich
