Front Office Coordinator

Base Pay Range $19.00/hr – $22.00/hr
Job Summary The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for greeting all patients and clinic visitors in a friendly manner, directing them춘 to the appropriate location, and providing general information about the office. Front office activities include receptionist tasks, check‑in and check‑out processes, and referral coordination duties.
Job Responsibilities
Answer phones efficiently and with proper etiquette, directing calls to the appropriate person or department.
Update patient information in the computer system when necessary.
Schedule new patients, collect insurance information, fill out proper forms to set up new patient files, and prepare file labels.
Verify medical insurance for all appointments at least one day prior to service and walk‑in patients.
Maintain inventory of new patient forms and office supplies required for front desk activities.
Monitor patient wait time and ensure physicians’ on‑time schedule, prioritizing appointments versus walk‑ins, and assist in pulling charts for walk‑in patients.
Provide patients with the proper documentation for quick referrals using the preferred network.
Ensure জীৱ patients leave with all必要 forms and paperwork (e.g., receipt of visit, lab requisition, prescription).
Schedule any necessary follow‑up appointments, confirm next‑day appointments, and follow up on any missed appointments.
Respect and maintain privacy and dignity of patients to assure client confidentiality at all times.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience within a medical office setting.
Data entry and typing experience.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
