About the Role
The Company is in search of an Assistant Dean of Practical Nursing to join their academic team. This leadership role is pivotal in supporting the Dean with the day-to-day operations and strategic development of the practical nursing program. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to, program planning, development, and evaluation, managing program budgets, ensuring program compliance with regulatory standards, and serving as a liaison between the community and the college. The role also involves overseeing the admission process, maintaining student and faculty records, and actively participating in faculty recruitment, hiring, and orientation.
Applicants for the Assistant Dean position must have a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, with a focus on nursing and education administration. A minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role, 2 years of teaching in nursing programs, and 2 years of direct patient care as a registered nurse are required. The ideal candidate will have a current RN license, experience in supervision, planning, and budget management, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people and institutions.
