About the Role
The Company is in search of an Assistant Dean for Practical Nursing to play a pivotal role in the leadership and management of the practical nursing program. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to, program planning, development, and evaluation, budget management, faculty and staff liaison, curriculum development, and ensuring program compliance with regulatory standards. This role also involves student advocacy, policy and procedure development, and maintaining educational partnerships with clinical sites. The Assistant Dean will be a key figure in the admission process, orientation, and will serve as a liaison between the community and the college.
Applicants for the Assistant Dean position must have a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, with a focus on nursing and education administration. A minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role, 2 years' of teaching in nursing programs, and 2 years' of direct patient care as a registered nurse are required. The ideal candidate will have a current RN license, experience in supervision, and a proven track record of leadership and collaboration. Strong communication skills, a commitment to diversity, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders are essential. The role demands a leader who can build consensus, is adept at problem-solving, and is dedicated to the continuous improvement of nursing education.
