About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting to lead strategic and transformative initiatives within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all corporate and financial reporting activities, establishing standardized accounting policies, and driving company-wide projects focused on centralization, standardization, and automation. This role requires a strategic accounting executive with a strong background in U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance, as well as a proven track record in leading accounting transformation and automation initiatives. The VP of Accounting will also be tasked with managing a high-performing team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the company's growth and acquisition strategies.
Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting position at the company must have an active CPA license, a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (Master's degree preferred), and at least 15 years of progressive accounting leadership experience, with a significant background in public company environments. The role demands a leader with deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance, as well as experience in managing multi-location, inventory-intensive operations. A background in a Big 4 or national public accounting firm, experience with ERP implementations, and a track record of supporting M&A activity are also preferred. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and dynamic professional, capable of driving change and innovation, and will work closely with the CFO to ensure the integrity and modernization of the accounting framework.
