The Opportunity
We're hiring a
Manufacturing Engineering Intern
to join our Engineering team. This internship offers hands-on experience in supporting manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and contributing to real-time engineering projects. You'll work with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to apply classroom knowledge in a practical, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Key responsibilities may include: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency and resource use Design workstation layouts and support equipment to streamline production Validate equipment, tooling, and fixturing for functionality and process capability Develop and maintain setup sheets, process documentation, and tooling records Collaborate with vendors to test and implement tooling and equipment upgrades Establish standard data and work measurements to support process consistency Assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and refining manufacturing methods Document control plans and APQP procedures Support operators and train on equipment or process updates as needed Participate in ISO compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
We're looking for someone who has: Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering (junior standing preferred) Availability to work 10-20 hours/week during the school year and full-time in the summer Local housing and transportation in the Mequon, WI area Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes Familiarity with CAD software and SPC tools Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and quality tools like APQP, PPAP, and PFMEA Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team A desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced engineering environment
