Summary

Drive the shuttle bus or van and provide direction and leadership to Rail drivers. Monitor the drivers to ensure they follow company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Meet with Rail Management to get the plan for the day. Ensure all of the drivers understand the plan. Shuttle Team Members to the correct vehicles according to the loading plan. Ensure drivers move vehicles safely and efficiently. Lead the Team Members by providing direction and any needed assistance. Secondary

Communicate company guidelines and standards to Team Members and ensure they are followed. Correct any policy violations or poor performance immediately. Always report any incidents to the Rail Supervisor and / or Assistant Manager as soon as possible. Stay in communication with other Rail team members or departments as needed, to help ensure everyone is working together to achieve the goals for the day Load vehicles onto railcars and perform other Rail Loader duties as needed. Prior leadership or supervisory experience and driving experience Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to obtain and execute direct orders in a timely manner Ability to lead a group of individuals Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED Supervisory experience preferred 1 year of experience preferred Physical Requirements

Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing Lift up to 15 lbs. Carry up to 15 lbs. Working and Environmental Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Typical office environment with low-level noise exposure based in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting. Must be comfortable driving 3/4-ton van with employees on board Exposure to outdoor temperatures and vehicle exhaust fumes The position is based in a plant manufacturing/warehousing environment. Communication with employees and field partners will be primarily conducted via phone and email.
