Senior Human Resources Assistant Job Location: Sacramento, California Pay Rate: $27-$28/hour Job Type: Temp to Hire Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm Description of Position: Are you experienced in Human Resources and looking for a temp to hire opportunity? We are seeking a highly organized and experienced HR professional to support our human resources operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Paycom, and HRIS platforms. This role focuses heavily on recruitment, compliance, and ensuring smooth HR operations across the organization. Job Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle recruitment: job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Utilize ATS to track and manage candidates, ensuring timely communication and a positive experience. Administer and maintain the company’s Paycom system for payroll and HR functions. Oversee and manage the organization’s HRIS, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws (EEO, FMLA, OSHA). Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to align with best practices. Assist with employee relations issues (conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary actions). Conduct new hire orientations and support employee engagement initiatives. Partner with department managers to forecast staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies. Support HR audits and ensure accurate documentation for legal compliance and reporting purposes. Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

Description of Company: You will be supporting a provided service that contributes to the mental health and emotional well-being of individuals and families in the community through outreach programs in Sacramento, California. Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar HR position. Proficiency with ATS and HRIS systems (Paycom experience preferred). Strong knowledge of HR compliance and employment law. Demonstrated experience in recruitment and talent acquisition strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
