•Service Setting: Adult Day Health Center and Primary Care Clinic
•Coverage Type: Clinical + Administrative
•Coverage Period: Asap - Ongoing
•Clinical Shift Schedule: TBD
•On-Call Shift Schedule: 24/7 coverage oversight required
•Call Type: Administrative/Clinical Oversight
•Call Ratio: As needed for triage and coverage systems
•Call Response Time: Immediate availability required
PATIENT INFORMATION •Patient Demographics: Frail and elderly populations •Patient Volume/Census: Variable based on program size •Admissions: Oversight responsibility •Rounding: Occasional (as needed for oversight) •Phone Consults: Frequent (administrative and clinical guidance) •Case Mix: Complex geriatric patients with commodities in community-based care
FACILITY INFORMATION •Office Equipment Available: Standard office and clinical tools •Specialty Backup Available: Interdisciplinary teams and contracted specialists •Support Staff Available: Physicians, NPs, nurses, clinic and allied health professionals •Reason for Coverage: Leadership of medical operations
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE •Hospital Privileges Required: Yes •Credentialing Timeline: As per agency requirements
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS •Rate: TBD •Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Valid driver's license and auto insurance required
REQUIRED PROCEDURES •Oversight of clinical services and infection control •Implementation of quality and compliance processes •Coding accuracy oversight and peer review
JOB REQUIREMENTS •Licenses: MD/DO with current state license and DEA registration •Certifications: Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Geriatrics preferred) •Experience: Minimum 3 years in medical leadership and 3 years working with frail elderly •Other Qualifications: Leadership in managed care and interdisciplinary environments required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES •Oversee clinical care delivery and medical supervision •Lead Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs •Collaborate with HR to recruit and support clinical staff •Develop and implement policies, procedures, and job descriptions •Ensure 24/7 medical coverage system and triage coordination •Participate in compliance and licensing reviews •Supervise Infection Control activities and ensure OSHA adherence •Analyze KPIs, manage clinical budgets, and improve service efficiency •Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement
