Workforce Events Intern

The Workforce Events Intern will assist in the planning, producing, and executing high-quality internal and external events in collaboration with the Program Manager. The position is part of a busy team producing multiple high-profile events each year and ancillary events throughout the year. This internship will take place on-site at the Fort Worth Girls Inc office, the Arlington Girls Inc. office, community centers, libraries, charter schools, K-12 public schools, local colleges and universities, and various sites within Tarrant County. Major Duties And Responsibilities:

Assist on-site at fast-paced, high-profile workforce events. Assist the department with logistics for College & Career meetings, including securing location, room set-up, audio/visual needs, food and beverage, etc. Take on a variety of administrative projects and day-to-day tasks. Answer and deal directly with emails, phone calls, and text messages about special programs. Manage attendee lists for events and create, print and prepare event name tags. Send out daily RSVP reports leading up to all events. Assist in scheduling program tours and creating site visit agendas for participants. Maintain and update the Events Calendar. Prepare agendas and documents, collect materials, and complete background research for events, team meetings, speeches, presentations, conferences, and other events. Assist with the design and ordering of collateral materials. Collect past event information, including data and pictures, and produce additional event reports as needed/requested. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to work evenings and at least two Saturdays in the month. Skilled in working with diverse clients, staff, and communities; ability to facilitate cooperative work. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Possess reliable transportation and a valid Texas driver's license. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
