Variable Scheduled Hours per Pay : 80 Salaried Position Summary: Maintains responsibility and accountability for all functions and activities within Emergency Services. In collaboration with the VP of Nursing, plans, implements and evaluates delivery of care, establishes and monitors department goals and standards of performance and assures coordination of patient care services in the Emergency Department, Trauma Services, Emergency Management Preparedness and Overflow/ Observational Care Unit. Establishes an interdisciplinary approach to program and care planning. Works with the VP of Nursing Services to realize the Mission and Vision of the organization while providing leadership for the Emergency Services. Formulates and implements policies, procedures, guidelines and standards in compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing-related program. Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan
Minimum of 5 years related experience and 5 to 7 yrs demonstrated managerial performance
Demonstrated experience in team-building skills, self-directed work teams
Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and business planning as well as program development
Preferred: Master’s Degree in nursing or related program
