Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Our client is a growing manufacturing/CPG business with a strong market presence. They are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead our accounting and finance functions. This role is perfect for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to drive financial excellence while rolling up their sleeves to get the job done. Position Overview: The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This individual will be a strategic partner to senior leadership while also ensuring day-to-day accounting functions run smoothly. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing or consumer goods and is comfortable working in a hands-on, leadership-driven environment. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP Manage cost accounting, inventory controls, and financial analysis to support operational efficiency Lead internal controls and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to financial policies and regulations Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights that drive business decisions Optimize ERP systems and financial reporting tools to improve efficiency Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred) 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Background in consumer goods, manufacturing, or distribution required Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Why Join them?
