American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift role with adult/geriatric patient care and telemetry monitoring responsibilities.Job Details•Work in a Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting,•Care for adult and geriatric patients with intermediate-level medical needs,•Patient diagnoses include dysrhythmias, CHF, acute stroke symptoms not requiring TPA, acute coronary syndrome, and myocardial ischemia,•Staffing ratio is 1:4 with a 12-bed unit,•All patients are on hardwired telemetry, self-monitored by the RN,•Uses Epic for EMR and Pyxis for medication management,•Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19:00 to 07:00, Monday night through Friday morning,•Unit closed on weekends (no Saturday or Sunday work),•Possible floating during low census periods,Job Requirements•Active GA or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration,•Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care or similar experience,•Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,•Able to provide two supervisory references (manager or above),•Previous permanent staff must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 year to be eligible,•Experience with Epic EMR and Pyxis preferred,•Ability to complete compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing,Additional Information•Responsibilities include caring for intermediate acuity patients requiring hourly monitoring interventions,•Team-based environment with a strong focus on patient throughput and patient-centered care,•Great teamwork and dynamic unit culture,•First-time travelers are accepted,•Must be available to work major holidays during the assignment as required by the unit's holiday policy,•No blocked scheduling permitted,•Scrub color is navy blue,•Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed; holiday RTO is significantly restricted,•Full compliance and timely completion of orientation modules required for on-time start,•Travel pairs not permitted to work the same shift on the same unit,•Local candidates accepted at the same rate
