American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric/Neonatal Transport position with extensive transport and critical care background required.Job Details•Work as part of the Pediatric/Neonatal Transport team in hospital and mobile settings,•Responsible for interhospital transport of neonatal and pediatric patients via ground or air,•Patient population includes pediatric and neonatal patients with critical diagnoses such as HIE, PPHN, asthma, sepsis, DKA, trauma, cardiac conditions, cancer, and NEC,•Utilizes equipment including Phillips monitors, Hamilton ventilators, Braun and Baxter IV pumps, Tecotherm, Zoll defibrillators, TXP, Cross Vent, transport isolette, Stryker gurney, and EMRs (Zoll emsCHARTS, Epic),•Works 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a or 7a-7p with every other weekend rotation,•No on-call requirements,•May be asked to assist in other units as needed when not transporting,Job Requirements•Active WA RN license required,•Minimum 5 years combined experience in PEDS ED/PICU and Level IV NICU, with at least 1 year in each setting,•At least 3 years of neonatal/pediatric transport experience within the last 5 years,•Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, NRP; TNCC and STABLE preferred,•Proficient in airway management, vasoactive drips/infusions, Bipap/HFNC, respiratory medication administration, IV/IO access,•Experience using Epic and Zoll emsCHARTS,Additional Information•Primary role is to manage critical care during transport of neonatal and pediatric patients,•Transport team consists of 1 RN, 1 RT, and 1 EMT,•Orientation includes equipment and safety training for ambulance and aircraft environments,•Facility is a level 2 trauma center with a Level IV NICU serving the Puget Sound region and parts of eastern Washington,•CRRT and ECMO provided by the facility,•Black scrubs required,•First-time travelers are welcome to apply
