Essential Duties:

  • Ensure process achievements and promote customer focus throughout the organization.
  • Function as an emergency First Responder via WVSM.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures which include IATF, ISO, TISAX, ISMS, and Safety related policies.
  • Ensure the workforce is compliant with all company policy/procedures.
  • Recognize the need for discipline/counseling and conduct meetings to discuss/resolve issues
  • Lead / assist with continuous improvement activities; including Problem Solving, Kaizen, Quality Circles, etc.
  • Assist with projects assigned by management
  • Assist with launch of new production processes and products including RU Ready format
  • Interface effectively with other departments, suppliers, and customers.
  • Lead investigations regarding safety issues and accidents as needed
  • Effectively communicate and solicit feedback from the workforce.
  • Assist with overseeing inventory targets and objectives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Prompt reporting to Assistant Manager / Manufacturing Manager when production schedules are in danger of not being met.
  • Meet or exceed production and yield goals in area.
  • Create, validate, & Audit operating procedures for effectiveness.
  • Analyze statistical data to improve operator performance
  • Provide departmental training/communication as required.
  • Assist in creating KPI goals for the department including kosu, budomari, performance efficiency, and cost per piece
  • Perform auditing of the operators as required
  • Assist with maintaining required systems within production (TPM, 5S, inventory control, etc.).
  • Focus on operator improvements regarding efficiencies & output
  • Provide thorough and accurate reporting regarding all aspects of the manufacturing process.
  • Back up Team Leader position as needed.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate the workforce
Other Duties:
  • Establish proper machine control settings.
  • General housekeeping duties (5S).
  • Overtime and/or travel as required;
  • Special project coordination assigned by management.
  • Potential to be flexible regarding working the off shifts as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Training of workforce as needed
Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor degree preferred and/or previous associated work experience commensurate to five years required
  • Problem identification and resolution; immediate response
