This role will be performed onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Summit TRC is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Systems Test Engineer to join our team. This Engineer will help maintain and test products supporting military UAS platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in Linux and a passion for new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Perform system-level integration and Hardware-in-the-loop testing of complex system components
n
• Use Linux command line extensively for testing, automation, and data handling
n
• Collaborate with other Software and Systems Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
n
• Optimize system performance and security
n
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity of support and development
n
• Maintain excellent technical documentation hygiene
n
• Maintain cybersecurity best practices
n

Qualifications:

n
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field
n
• Experience working with Linux systems and executing commands in the CLI
n
• Understanding of various scripting such as Bash and Python
n
• Ability to work with external customers or stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
n
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus
n
• Experience with virtualization tools and hypervisors like VMware, KVM, and Hyper-V is a plus
n
