Description The Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is seeking a talented

Network Solutions Engineer

to join a dynamic program with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. In this role, you will manage and support multiple workstations and network hardware across various customer sites and cloud environments. We are looking for an expert to deploy, monitor, and maintain network systems in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) specifications. You will develop secure network architectures, operate customer networks, and assist in the installation of network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls. Additionally, you will conduct testing to ensure that functionality and security compliance are met, maintain accurate documentation, and provide essential technical support to team members and end-users. As a part of our dedicated team, you will also be involved in 24x7 monitoring of customer networks at the Leidos operated Network Operations Center. *This position will require a rotating shift schedule.* Primary Responsibilities: Design detailed network architectures that comply with Department of Defense (DoD) standards. Collaborate with procurement teams to source suitable network hardware and software that meets project requirements. Oversee the setup and configuration of networking equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. Perform thorough testing of network systems to ensure optimal functionality, performance, and security compliance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during installation and testing phases. Maintain precise documentation regarding network configurations, installations, and changes. Create and update network diagrams and other relevant technical documentation. Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Provide expert technical support and guidance to team members and end-users. Stay informed about DoD policies and best practices for network security and design. Implement robust security measures to safeguard network infrastructure and data. Basic Qualifications: Must be a US Citizen with at least a Top Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access prior to your start date. Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Strong knowledge of protocols, security standards, and design principles for OSI Layers 1-4. Experience with the installation and configuration of physical networking equipment and Local Area Networks (LANs). Experience designing and deploying Wide Area Networks (WANs) utilizing Virtual Private Networking (VPN) technologies. Ability to interpret and utilize network management and troubleshooting tools, including ICMP, SNMPv3, and Syslog. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are essential. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and procurement processes is a plus. Working knowledge of cloud networking principles and technologies, particularly in Microsoft Azure. Experience operating and utilizing cryptographic devices for secure networking over Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). Experience configuring VPNs using technologies such as Cisco AnyConnect, Azure VPN Gateway, MPLS, IPsec VPN, or similar solutions. Experience with DoD networks, particularly classified and operational networks. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or other specialization certifications (e.g., JNCIA, PCNSA, AZ-700, CISSP, etc.) are highly desirable. Experience in network performance monitoring and optimization. Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices and risk management, particularly at OSI layers 1-3. Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity within a technical team is beneficial. A good grasp of emerging technologies and trends in network infrastructure. Original Posting:
