Senior Investment Banker
in
Minnesota (USA) . This is a leadership opportunity within a boutique M&A advisory firm focused on serving the lower mid-market. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end M&A transactions, from business development through deal execution, working closely with business owners, executive teams, and external stakeholders. Accountabilities: Lead M&A transactions from origination to close, acting as the primary contact for clients throughout the process. Drive business development efforts to identify and secure new client engagements. Guide the development and review of marketing materials and financial presentations to enhance deal positioning. Oversee financial modeling, client projections, and valuation analyses to support decision-making. Identify risks, manage negotiation points, and coordinate closely with legal, accounting, and counterparty teams. Collaborate with and mentor junior team members, ensuring quality execution and knowledge transfer. Represent the firm in management presentations, negotiations, and client communications to achieve successful outcomes. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 15 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or a related sector. Proven experience managing complex M&A deals and working with mid-market clients. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced Excel modeling and valuation. Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to simplify complex concepts. Ability to manage multiple projects independently while mentoring junior staff. Professional presence with the maturity to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
