PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an experienced
Inspector
for a
1-year contract-to-hire
position supporting aerospace and defense production in Oldsmar, Florida. This position plays a vital role in assembling complex electrical systems and subassemblies to support mission-critical hardware for high-reliability environments.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in
electrical or electronic assembly Proficient with
blueprints, schematics, and work instructions Skilled in the use of
hand tools and crimping/soldering equipment Ability to perform
precision wiring, cable routing, and terminal connections Comfortable working in
aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability production environments Strong attention to detail and quality standards Preferred Qualifications:
IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification (or prior experience working to IPC standards) Experience assembling circuit boards, harnesses, or avionics components Familiarity with
cleanroom protocols
or ESD-safe environments Experience in high-mix/low-volume assembly or prototype builds Key Responsibilities:
Assemble electronic and/or mechanical components such as modules, panels, drawers, cables, and frames Read and interpret detailed
engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics Perform precision crimping, soldering, cable dressing, and mechanical fastening Conduct
continuity checks and inspections
throughout the assembly process Document build progress and maintain clean, organized workspaces Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve build issues Follow strict
quality, safety, and compliance protocols
