We're looking for a seasoned Database Engineer to join an expanding DBA team. This senior, hands-on position plays a key role in supporting high-volume, real-time transactional systems. You'll help define our team's standards and practices from the ground up, while working with cutting-edge database technologies in a fast-paced environment.
? What You'll Bring 7+ years of experience in Postgres database administration and support Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, high availability, clustering, and indexing Strong SQL and indexing skills Proven experience working with OLTP systems, replication strategies, and backup/recovery solutions Familiarity with MySQL, Terraform/Ansible, and Perl is a plus Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating across teams Key Responsibilities
Design and optimize schemas, queries, and indexes to support robust and scalable data systems Diagnose and resolve performance issues, while managing replication and HA infrastructure Partner with Engineering and Operations teams on deployment and automation strategies Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and infrastructure tooling Salary Range 140k to 145K plus Bonus MUST Be willing to travel on occasion to Boston MA Must be located in EST or CST time Zones #remote #TECH #LI-SD1 #Postgres
