Position Summary
The Director, Controllership engages with the Walmart US Real Estate Business and segment-wide capital processes. The position supports new initiatives and improves existing processes by developing new financial processes and flows, driving automation and/or greater efficiencies in existing processes, providing financial accounting support, monthly close, reconciliations, internal controls, integration efforts, driving change and consulting with various business and finance partners. What You'll Do
The Walmart US Controllership team provides accounting support to business partners and ensures timely financial reporting for the Walmart US segment. Position is located at headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. A comprehensive relocation package is provided. Support a fast-growing business at Fortune 1 scale. Streamline and automate existing processes through collaboration with our business partners and shared services. Build and maintain relationships with business and finance partners. Ensure new business accounting methodology is supported and applied consistently. Ensure internal controls are designed and operating effectively as our business/operational strategies evolve. What You'll Bring
Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance financial performance and compliance. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and innovation, enhancing processes to support business objectives and ensuring the preparation of accurate financial statements. Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations. Knowledge of how high-level accounting impacts business decisions. Retail, lease and fixed asset accounting experience. Expertise in managing financial risks and executing internal controls, with a track record of designing and implementing effective control systems. Demonstrated proficiency working cross-functionally. You are a master at making complex subjects easily understood. You're stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area OR 7 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area. 2 years' supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant designation, Leading and completing cross-functional projects, Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, Using Essbase Primary Location
