About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Retail Leasing. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising plans, and aggressive leasing strategies to meet property goals and increase net operating income. This role involves active engagement in the leasing process, from deal negotiation to execution, and requires a strong background in leading the leasing of new and redeveloped retail projects, including urban street retail stores. The Vice President will be expected to operate independently, with the ability to run deals from start to finish, while also being a collaborative team player. Keeping abreast of trends in the retail market, particularly in the areas of restaurants, fashion, and wellness, is essential.
Applicants should have a minimum of 8 years' of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and a proven track record of deal-making and maintaining strong relationships with local and national retailers and brokers. The role demands a self-motivated individual with a strong merchandising vision, capable of independent negotiation and execution of deals. The candidate must be adept at managing retail lease amendments and renewals, and be proficient in communication, presentation, and time management.
