Complex Commercial Litigation Associate

Location: Washington, DC

Salary: $260,000 - $320,000 benefits and bonuses

Our client a top law firm is looking for a complex commercial litigation associate to join its Washington, DC office. We're seeking someone with 3 - 6 years of complex litigation experience, ideally with an interest in insurance coverage litigation, dispute analysis, and emerging risks like environmental and product liability matters.

You’ll work closely with partners and clients on high-stakes cases, from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, motions, and coverage opinions, managing discovery, and helping shape strategy. This is a supportive, high-level work environment with real client contact and growth opportunities.

Experience:

• 3–6 years of complex litigation experience
• Insurance coverage experience is a big plus
• Strong writing, research, and case management skills
• Interest in cutting-edge insurance issues and underlying liability trends
• Clerkship experience is a plus

• A clear, persuasive writer and communicator
• Organized and efficient with your time
• Collaborative, but confident handling your own responsibilities
• Client-focused and thoughtful in your approach
