HR Generalist (Contract)

Location: Florence, KY Industry: Manufacturing / Industrial Compensation: $24 - $27 dependent on experience Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). About Our Client: Addison Group is partnering with a leading manufacturer to support their HR needs at a local production facility. This is a contract opportunity designed for someone who enjoys being in the thick of operations and thrives in a hands-on HR environment. Job Description: We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to serve as the on-site HR presence at a fast-paced industrial plant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with employees at all levels, from production teams to leadership, and who values variety in their day-to-day work. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary HR contact onsite, engaging directly with production staff and leadership Manage and support employee relations, including performance conversations and conflict resolution Assist with recruiting and onboarding hourly production employees Oversee timecard accuracy and track attendance-related matters (LOA, FMLA, ADA, etc.) Support training, compliance documentation, and general administrative tasks Communicate HR updates and policies clearly across departments Partner with offsite HR leaders to ensure alignment and consistency Walk the production floor daily to maintain open communication and visibility Qualifications: 3+ years of generalist-level HR experience; manufacturing or industrial setting required Bachelor's degree required Comfortable working independently in a manufacturing setting Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Experience with HRIS tools such as SAP, Kronos, or SuccessFactors preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
