We are seeking motivated students to assist with audio/visual (AV) support for events, classrooms, and meetings. Responsibilities include setting up and operating AV equipment (projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras), troubleshooting technical issues, and providing basic technical support to faculty, staff, and event organizers. Responsibilities include: Securing equipment and facilities after evening classes and events Setting up, operating, and breaking down AV equipment for events and classes Assisting with live streaming and recording of events Troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues with AV systems Maintaining inventory of AV equipment and reporting malfunctions Providing excellent customer service to event organizers and presenters Responding to service calls and support requests Required qualifications include: Enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate or graduate student Meet minimum eligibility requirements for student employment Authorized to work in the United States Ability to work for the entire fall 2025 semester; may be eligible for rehire in spring 2026 depending on performance Must be available to work Monday
Thursday, 4 PM to 9 PM and Friday 2 PM to 7 PM Interest in technology and willingness to learn AV systems Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently Preferred qualifications include: Previous AV or tech support experience Available to work some Saturdays for approximately 4 hours between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM Salary range: $17 per hour (undergraduate classification) $19 per hour (Master's classification) $21 per hour (Professional or PhD classification) Working conditions include: Typical office environment Repetitive use of a keyboard All work will be performed on site at the Law School Evening or weekend hours will be required Work schedule: Must be available to work at least 15 hours per week Position begins on August 21, 2025, and ends on December 8, 2025 Must be available to work Monday
