Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a Back End Developer to support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to both ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment. This position requires onsite support at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This team will be based out of Colorado Springs, CO. Key Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining the back-end components of web applications using Python, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability. Designing, implementing, and optimizing database structures using PostgreSQL. Integrating and supporting the front-end development using React, working collaboratively with front-end developers. Working with DevOps tools like Ansible, Docker, and GitLab to ensure efficient deployment and operations. Implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines using GitLab, Docker, and Artifactory. Collaborating in an Agile environment, following Agile software development methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Performing code reviews, writing unit tests, and ensuring high-quality software is delivered. Supporting the integration of additional technologies, like Apache Spark, Kafka, and Kubernetes, as needed for system scalability and data handling. Troubleshooting and debugging production issues in a Linux environment. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in back-end development and DevOps. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty 3+ years of Back-end development experience with Python Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile team environments Understanding of DevOps practices and continuous integration/deployment Must have SAFe for Teams certification Must have AWS certifications (Associate Developer, & AWS Specialty Security within a year of start date) or be able to demonstrate AWS competence using the CLI and Boto Familiarity and knowledge of: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Linux, Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Artifactory, GitLab Experience or knowledge in the following areas: network engineering, AWS Cloud, agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional team US Citizen and with an active Top Secret security clearance Desired Qualifications: Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $115,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
