Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered for an outpatient office-based role requiring credentialing in echocardiography and BLS certification.
Responsibilities Outpatient, office-based cardiology setting with efficient patient flowPerform approximately 10 transthoracic, transesophageal, and cardiac stress echocardiograms per dayMonday through Friday day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMNo weekend, floating, or on-call requirements except potential float to nearby sister hospitalUtilizes Cerner EMR, with experience preferredPicture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) use is preferredAdult patient populationPerform high quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams and adhere to department protocolsPrepare patients for procedures and ensure clear communication to reduce anxietyAdminister imaging contrast agents as required by departmental policyUtilize EMR for documentation of patient information and reporting of findingsAdhere to safety initiatives, infection control procedures, and confidentiality standardsCandidates may be required to complete drug screening and background check promptly after offerAssignment is limited to one calendar year, requiring a 30-60 day break before return50 mile radius rule applies; local candidates are not eligible
