The Small Medium Enterprises and Channel (SME&C) Azure Finance team is seeking a strategic finance leader to drive impact in the Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape engagement with our smaller Customers and Partner ecosystem to maximize market opportunity for innovation and growth. The WorldWide SME&C Azure Finance team is a global group of finance professionals partnering across Microsoft to drive strategic insights, investment decisions, and business transformation. As a Senior Finance Manager, you will focus on strategic partnership across stakeholders, product-level financial insights, and field engagement. You will play a critical role in helping the SMB Leadership Team navigate market opportunities, scale execution, and drive business performance across the global Azure business. The SMB segment represents one of Microsoft’s most exciting frontiers. Accelerate Growth & Decision-Making

Construct analyses supporting Azure growth, workload adoption, customer acquisition, and key SMB performance drivers. Provide thought leadership on market dynamics and shape the SMB growth roadmap. Support Innovation Acceleration Program (IAP) and Area Performance Reviews (APR), ensuring strategic alignment and financial rigor. Communicate financial and business performance effectively to executives to influence decisions and clarify insights. Enable Strategic Partnership & Market Impact

Partner with Go To Market, Business Operations, Strategy, and Corporate Finance teams to align priorities and execute strategies. Engage with Field teams to understand local market dynamics, identify whitespace opportunities, and scale best practices globally. Collaborate with GPS and SMB teams to support Partner and CSP motions, set targets, and identify growth levers. Provide financial guidance and strategic insights to leadership. Drive Financial Clarity & Operational Excellence

Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and rhythm of business processes for the SMB segment within SME&C Azure. Deliver product-centric financial insights to inform strategy and support Azure workload growth, especially Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR). Partner with Engineering Finance, Global Partner Solutions, and MCAPS Finance for long-range planning and investments. Collaborate on standardizing and simplifying financial processes, leveraging tools like Power BI, Excel, and MSX Insights for reporting and insights. Champion Compliance & Governance

Partner with Legal and Control teams to embed compliance and manage risks, including discounting and incentives. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical decision-making across financial activities. Other

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or related roles. OR Master's Degree in one of the above fields AND 2+ years of relevant experience. OR equivalent experience. 1+ year experience in a matrix organization. The typical base pay range in the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year, with higher ranges in the San Francisco Bay Area and NYC. Benefits and additional compensation details are available
