The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in complex legal disputes and demonstrate a strategic, analytical approach to litigation. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with seasoned attorneys on intricate matters from pre-litigation planning to post-trial motions while benefiting from the resources of a leading firm with a strong national and international presence. Duties: Handle all phases of complex litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings Draft and review pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and memoranda Conduct legal research and prepare sophisticated analyses for litigation strategy Engage in discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document review Collaborate with clients, experts, and co-counsel on case strategy and factual development Participate in court appearances, hearings, and oral arguments Contribute to team-oriented case development while also taking ownership of specific litigation components Requirements: 4-8 years of hands-on litigation experience, preferably with exposure to insurance-related matters Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines simultaneously Strong oral advocacy and client communication skills Prior courtroom experience, including depositions and motion practice, preferred Track record of producing well-organized, analytical, and persuasive written work Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic performance Certifications: Active membership in the California State Bar Good standing with the State Bar of California Skills: Advanced legal writing and research proficiency Strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize complex legal issues Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues Highly organized with exceptional time and project management capabilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within litigation teams Job Location: San Diego, CA Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement plan with firm contributions, life and disability insurance coverage, paid holidays, vacation, personal time, tuition reimbursement for continued legal education, and access to wellness initiatives and mental health support.
