This position is critical in providing exceptional care to patients with complex traumatic injuries and surgical needs. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to ensure optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients within the Trauma ICU.- Utilize the nursing process to assess and treat patient responses to health problems, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.- Provide care for a diverse range of patients, including those with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, extremity fractures, and solid organ injuries.- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and making necessary adjustments.- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure individualized patient care and family involvement in treatment plans.- Maintain a high standard of quality care and adhere to safety and regulatory protocols within the ICU environment. Qualifications: - Active NV RN license required prior to start.- Minimum 2 years of Trauma ICU experience is required.- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS (APEX) certifications are mandatory.- CCRN certification is strongly preferred, but not required.- Ability to function effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment, including adapting to changes in patient acuity and team dynamics. Unit Overview: Our 27-bed Trauma ICU is a Beacon Designation unit focused on delivering high-quality, multidisciplinary care for trauma and surgical patients. We are dedicated to clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. Additional Information: - Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and additional shifts as required.- Travelers may be asked to float to meet the needs of the organization.- The hospital operates as a Level II trauma center serving a broad region and manages high volumes of trauma and emergency patients annually.At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
