We are partnered with a major retail company in Miami who has an immediate need for a
Workday HCM Functional Analyst ! **This role will require 3 days a week onsite in Miami** Responsibilities: System Setup & Maintenance Configure and maintain the
Recruiting ,
Onboarding ,
Talent , and
Learning
modules within Workday. Oversee the setup of job requisitions, onboarding steps, training programs, and performance review templates. Administer security roles and business process configurations tied to the supported modules. Issue Management & Continuous Improvement Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues affecting job postings, onboarding processes, and learning assignments. Escalate complex technical problems and conduct root cause analysis. Track recurring issues and recommend enhancements to improve system efficiency and user experience. Testing & Process Documentation Design and execute test scenarios for new features, updates, and regular system releases. Maintain thorough documentation, including system changes, workflows, and audit logs. Data Integrity & Reporting Ensure data accuracy throughout the recruitment and employee lifecycle. Partner with analytics teams to support reporting needs and monitor key performance indicators related to talent processes. Cross-Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Support Work closely with HR stakeholders to translate functional requirements into effective Workday solutions. Provide training, guidance, and documentation to support system rollouts and changes. Collaborate with other People Information Technology (PIT) analysts to ensure seamless integration and coordination between Workday modules. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field. At least
3 years of experience working with Workday HCM , with hands-on support in a minimum of
two modules : Recruiting, Talent, Onboarding, or Learning. Proven background in system configuration, business process optimization, and data validation. Fluency in English and Spanish
is strongly preferred. Skills & Technical Expertise Solid understanding of core HCM processes and how they interact across modules. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on usability and data integrity. Excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively with HR teams and stakeholders. High attention to detail and experience working in
multi-module testing environments . Proficient in
XML coding , especially through
EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder)
and Workdays
Integration Builder . Working knowledge of
software development life cycle (SDLC)
principles and ability to guide IT teams on
Workday-specific integration strategies . Broader programming experience in
languages such as Python or JavaScript
is a plus.
