Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative
plays a key role as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients for both routine health checkups and critical diagnostic testing. This position involves
drawing quality blood samples , preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and patient trust. The role demands exceptional
phlebotomy skills , attention to detail, and a commitment to safety while delivering an excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional work environment. Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures. Verify patient demographic information and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling. Maintain required records and documentation. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Travel as needed to multiple locations and provide coverage at short notice. Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Experience in a Patient Service Center environment (minimum 2 years preferred). Strong customer service background, preferably in retail or service environments. Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry. Nice-to-Have Experience:
Medical assistant or paramedic training. Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, and WA; preferred in other locations). Required Skills:
Excellent phlebotomy skills (pediatric, geriatric, and capillary). Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer focus and communication skills. Preferred Skills:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Ability to handle multiple priorities in high-volume settings. Additional Skills from Original Description:
