Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 1 month, 28 days Start: 08/06/2025 End: 10/03/2025 Pay Rate: $24.00/hour Job Summary: The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative is the welcoming face of our diagnostic services provider, engaging directly with patients for routine health visits and critical testing. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens, ensuring patient comfort and trust, and accurately preparing samples for laboratory analysis. Operating under established protocols, this position emphasizes precision, confidentiality, and professionalism while supporting healthcare providers in making informed, life-impacting decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-friendly environment. Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing in accordance with established procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public. Educate and guide patients through the specimen collection process. Required Experience:
Minimum of 6 months' phlebotomy experience. Proven customer service experience, preferably in a retail or service environment. Proficient keyboard and data entry skills. Nice-to-Have Experience:
1+ years' phlebotomy experience. Pediatric and geriatric blood draw experience. Forensic specimen collection experience. Required Skills:
Excellent phlebotomy technique Strong patient communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Skills:
Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy expertise Knowledge of forensic specimen protocols Proficiency in medical data entry and record-keeping Additional Skills:
Flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime work Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Sensitivity to patient confidentiality Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Required) Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred) Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA) Benefits:
