Are you a seasoned Chemical/Process Engineer with a passion for designing and optimizing industrial chemical processing facilities? We have an immediate need for a Chemical/Process Engineer to join our team in the Lakeland, FL area. In this role, you will apply your expertise to a variety of challenging projects, serving our diverse industrial clientele. About the Role:
Process Design & Analysis:
You will apply chemical process principles to design and evaluate alternative designs for industrial chemical processing facilities. Technical Expertise:
You will utilize your thorough knowledge of unit operations, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and fluid dynamics to develop safe and effective designs. Project Collaboration:
You will collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including chemical, mechanical, piping, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and control groups. Client Interaction:
You will meet with customers to discuss engineering-related questions and project timelines, as well as conduct field data gathering and inspections. Who You Are:
Educated Professional:
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university. Experienced Professional:
You have 5+ years of experience in engineering design within industrial chemical processing facilities. Technical Expert:
You possess a thorough understanding of chemical process principles, pipe flow modeling, control valve sizing, PRV/PSV sizing, heat exchanger modeling, and AutoCAD. Problem-Solver:
You are able to work with limited information and formulate assumptions to develop effective designs. A Strong Communicator:
You possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Organized & Efficient:
You are highly organized, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications:
Engineer Intern (EI) certificate or Professional Engineer (PE) in Chemical Engineering. Proficiency in Plant 3D. Additional Info:
Term:
This is a 6-month temp to perm opportunity. Pay Range:
$40.00 - $60.00 per hour depending on prior experience.
