Position Summary
The Student
Concession Attendant is responsible for providing support to the Athletic Department by selling concessions to spectators and serving student athletes at various athletic events for Cochise College. Note: Cochise College requires a post offer, pre-employment background screening of all employees. This position is open until filled with applications reviewed upon receipt and may close at any time. Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Within the scope of college policies and procedures, this position: Sets up concession stand, indoors and outdoors Sells concessions including soft drinks and foot items to spectators at various events Receives money and makes correct change for customers Monitors money in cash drawer to ensure adequate change is available Cleans up concession stand Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Additionally, employees must understand the comprehensive role of the community college and cooperate and work harmoniously with students, faculty and staff, and the public. Education and Experience Requirements:
Enrollment at Cochise College with a minimum of 6 credits per semester and 3 credits in the summer Possess and maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or higher Students attending Cochise College on an F-1 Visa require full-time enrollment with a minimum of 12 credits per semester and six credits in the summer
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to follow college policies and procedures Knowledge and skill in handling money, including making change Skill in public relations and customer service Ability to handle inquiries and problems efficiently and direct problems to the proper staff member(s) Ability to report for work on time and notify the appropriate individual in advance if unable to work Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional, helpful manner Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with other department staff, faculty, students and the public Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed under general supervision. Incumbent generally performs work both indoors with appropriate climate controls, and outdoors with a variety of climatic conditions. Will require working evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate. Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting only occasionally, walking and standing are required regularly, incumbents may be required to kneel, crouch/squat, crawl, climb, stoop, turn/twist, balance, reach, or handle Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability and creative problem solving skills are important
