Biocore has an immediate opening for a full-time Graphic Designer. The right individual will support the Data Science and Analytics team and the entire Biocore organization on a variety of interesting projects. The position may be based at our primary office in Charlottesville, VA or may be located remotely. If remote, the selected candidate will need to work at the primary office for an onboarding period of 2-3 months to become familiar with the different teams and workstreams of Biocore. A bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or related field with a minimum of five years of experience Proven experience of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign Experience with After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro or other video/motion software a plus Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar software is required. In particular, extensive experience with PowerPoint is necessary for providing design support for presentation work Strong interpersonal communication skills Excellent organization and time management skills Portfolio of design work is required Compensation

Our team is responsible for supporting the marketing, graphic design, user interface and user experience needs of the organization across multiple workstreams for professional sports leagues as well as internal marketing efforts. Design work spans mediums including digital, print, and signage and includes document design, trade-show booth design, web and software design, as well as extensive work in building PowerPoint decks for both marketing and information delivery purposes. You excel at developing impactful visualizations to communicate data-driven insights to non-technical audiences. You can convert an outline of concepts and copious amounts of data into a creative masterpiece of effective and simple communication. You are comfortable working with engineers who will provide a great deal of data and at micro levels of information. You are comfortable asking difficult questions to gain clear insight into the information that needs to be communicated to the intended audience. You can translate those insights into developing a visual story that supports a clear message without overwhelming audiences with data. You enjoy working across multiple projects simultaneously and are comfortable with managing your time to meet deadlines across those projects. You are a great teammate who enjoys working with others to build things together that you could not build alone.
