The Department of Human Development and Family Sciences and Counseling in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a part-time (.5 FTE) Administrative Assistant 2. This position will be the main academic support for all counseling faculty, staff, and student needs. They will be a support to the Counseling Program Coordinators, processing human resources and financial transactions, and budgeting. This position will also assist with coordinating travel arrangements, arrange meeting logistics, initiate hires and onboarding, maintain accounts and other duties as assigned. This role operates within guidelines set by the College and Chair, focusing on the delivery of routine information and the completion of standard tasks. Required Qualifications: This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and two (2) years of clerical and administrative support experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records and files; preparing a variety of materials using a personal computer or word processor; assisting customers in completing forms and applications; and/or performing secretarial duties in support of professional staff; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant I in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above Schedule: The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, but can be flexible; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. Compensation Grade: Grade 25 (Entry, Step 01 $20.42 /hr.

Step 03 $22.13/hr.) In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate's qualifications, internal equity and budgets. A request to accelerate salary must be approved by Human Resources and abide by the Nevada Administrative Code. The Perks of PERS!
