Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly Associates in the Facility by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Upholds the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and providing resolutions, including proactively seeking out Associate comments and concerns in their work areas. Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures by holding hourly Associates and managers accountable, analyzing reports, implementing safety and asset protection controls, maintaining quality standards, overseeing safety and operational reviews, developing corrective action plans, and guiding the execution of Company programs and initiatives. Initiates and participates in community outreach programs, encouraging and supporting Associates and managers in serving as community members, establishing relationships with local organizations, and representing the Company following media guidelines. Promotes the Facility as a community-focused entity and emphasizes the importance of good community relations. Drives the financial performance of the Facility by achieving sales and profit goals, controlling expenses, developing plans to address financial deficiencies, overseeing budgets, and analyzing economic and community trends for forecasting. Models and enforces customer service standards, directing the management team to ensure customer needs and complaints are addressed within Company guidelines. Communicates effectively with management and associates about operations, merchandising, and company direction. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, creates a culture of belonging, and creates opportunities for all associates to thrive and perform. Attracts, retains, empowers, develops talent, and recognizes contributions. Acts with integrity by maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, supporting Walmart’s culture, and holding oneself and others accountable. 2 years of general management experience including financial accountability. 2 years of supervising 20 or more associates/employees, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling only ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Effective January 26, 2019, all associates must complete required trainings and assessments, including Academy and Open Door trainings. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Experience managing a grocery area, supervising 50+ associates, including performance management, mentoring, and employment decisions. Primary Location
