Durango School District 9-R is recruiting Licensed Substitute Teachers for the 2024/2025 school year.
This position offers a pay rate of $250 per day and includes a comprehensive health and dental insurance package. Requirements:
Valid Colorado teaching license, Colorado three- to five-year substitute license, or a Colorado substitute license with a letter from a university indicating completion of student teaching and the expected date for license eligibility. Applicants may be in the process of obtaining their license at the time of application. Ability to secure transportation to all school sites within Durango School District. Availability to work during student contact days, Monday through Friday, for the 24/25 school year. Experience working with children. Experience as a contracted teacher or student teacher is preferred. Ability to effectively engage students with lessons left by the classroom teacher. Ability to implement positive behavior supports and create a productive learning environment. Willingness to substitute in any classroom grades PK-12 and all special programs. Ability to adhere to school, district policies, and state regulations. Strong communication and documentation skills. Compensation is $250 per 8-hour daily assignment. Equal Opportunity Statement:
