Role: AVP - Data & Cloud Transformation Industry: Enterprise IT & Digital Transformation Location: Remote (USA), or Hybrid in Dallas, NJ, or Santa Clara Type: Full-time Salary Range: USD 180,000 – 220,000 base + 30% bonus Experience Required: 13 – 19 years About The Job: A leading global IT and digital consulting firm is seeking an experienced AVP – Data & Cloud Transformation to drive strategic customer engagements across cloud and data modernisation initiatives. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders to define and deliver innovative, value-driven data strategies and cloud transformation roadmaps. This position blends technology expertise with business acumen, focusing on pre-sales leadership , technical architecture , and client advisory in cloud and data engineering domains. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Vision & Client Engagement Design and execute cloud and data transformation strategies that align with the client's business objectives. Lead C-level conversations with clients to understand pain points and propose effective solutions. Define data modernization roadmaps, timelines, and KPIs to measure success. Pre-Sales Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor during workshops, demos, and executive presentations. Partner with sales teams to respond to RFPs, craft solution proposals, and unlock new business opportunities. Collaborate with technical delivery teams to shape bespoke client solutions. Technical Oversight Guide clients on best practices in cloud migration , data lakes , data architecture , and cloud-native technologies . Maintain strong awareness of the latest tools and trends in Databricks, Snowflake, Python, SQL, AWS, and Azure . Produce whitepapers, solution briefs, and internal enablement content. Team Collaboration & Mentorship Mentor junior architects and engineers. Align cross-functional internal teams (sales, tech, delivery) to ensure cohesive execution. Customer Success & Relationship Management Maintain long-term client relationships and drive account growth through upsell/cross-sell opportunities. Act as the primary escalation point for technical discussions and solution refinement. MUST HAVE Qualifications: 8+ years of deep Data Engineering experience , particularly in: Databricks, Snowflake, Python, SQL; Cloud migration (AWS and Azure); Data transformation, architecture, and solutioning 3+ years in a pre-sales, client-facing, or advisory capacity (not direct sales) Demonstrated experience building and presenting data transformation strategies at the enterprise level Strong understanding of enterprise cloud platforms and modern data stack technologies Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A background in technology (engineering or architecture roles) before moving into a strategic role US Citizen or Green Card holder only Strong job stability (3+ years average tenure per company) Education from a premier institute (preferred Work Model: Hybrid available in Dallas, New Jersey, or Santa Clara Fully remote is possible for candidates located outside these areas Application Process: To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and qualifications for the role.
