Position overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Associate to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines Accounts Payable (AP) responsibilities, entry-level cost accounting, and financial analysis, making it ideal for someone looking to launch or advance their career in finance. A strong analytical mindset and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP)
•Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
•Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve discrepancies
•Maintain accurate AP records and vendor files
•Assist with month-end close and reconciliation of AP accounts
Cost Accounting
•Support the tracking and allocation of job costs
•Assist in preparing job profitability reports
•Reconcile variances and prepare analytic trends
Financial Analysis
•Perform data analysis to support financial planning and forecasting
•Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models and dashboards
•Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and performance tracking
•Prepare ad hoc financial reports and summaries for leadership
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
•1-5 years of accounting/finance experience preferred
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charts)
•Basic understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
•Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
•Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
(or in progress)
•Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is a plus
