Role Description
Our Value and Access team is dedicated to helping organizations navigate the complexities of market access and optimize the value of their products and services. In this role, you will take a data-driven approach to building strategic recommendations on a wide range of market access, pricing and contracting decisions, combining strategic insights, advanced analytics, and innovative solutions to ensure that clients can achieve patient access goals as well as achieve sustainable growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead and represent the ZS team on projects, seeking advice from senior ZS leaders, overseeing more junior team members, provide oversight and ensure the development of high quality deliverables
- Be proficient in understanding different market access datasets and conduct analyses across different data sources to derive compelling insights and strategic recommendations to the client
- Leverage strong structured and unstructured problem solving skills, including quantitative analyses to inform data-driven strategic recommendations to clients' questions
- Provide structure to unstructured problems and shape the client approach and solutions on desired outcomes
- Work collaboratively with clients on challenging problems, including attending and leading meetings (often in-person), facilitating workshops and driving the presentation of strategy readouts to broader client stakeholders
- Define the project plan, day-to-day activities for the team to ensure we meet client timelines and execute the projects efficiently
- Communicate key takeaways and strategic options to executive clients, with an emphasis on answering the business question as opposed to the analytical and reporting processes used
- Build a robust understanding of different stakeholders influencing access to products (providers, payers, distributors, pharmacies, patient, etc.), and complex intertwined dynamics impacting their decision-making
- Understand and evaluate various gross-to-net (GTN) impacts driven by stakeholder, market and product dynamics
- Develop an intuitive view of key implications of various strategic scenarios on access and GTN
- Develop depth and breadth of expertise within market access (US and/or global) and be able to connect the dots between various client functions
- Gain swift familiarity with a client's internal processes, governance, ways of working to make an immediate impact
- 5-8 years of relevant experience within market access strategy, managed care analytics, or payer/provider strategy with evidence of strong strategic problem solving and analytical work
- Strong understanding of different market access data sources, proficiency in working on different datasets and connect back to market access strategy
- An MBA or PhD, with 3 years of relevant experience may substitute.
- High motivation, strong work ethic, maturity and personal initiative
- Aptitude for, and enjoyment of, leading and managing teams.
- Effective oral and written communication skills that enable personal impact with senior-level decision makers
- Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset
- Analytic problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative outlook
- Client service orientation
