Position Summary
This role ensures the Louisiana SPCA’s fundraising operations are powered by high-functioning technology and actionable data. The Advancement Operations & Data Manager will serve as the primary owner of the donor CRM, manage integrations across platforms, and lead a cross-functional effort to migrate from Raiser’s Edge to a new CRM. The role also involves prospect research, reporting, campaign support, and collaboration with technical, marketing, and fundraising teams.
The Advancement Operations, Data & Analytics Manager turns data into insight, insight into action, and action into impact. They make sure gift officers are strategic, efficient, and supported to secure the resources to deliver the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Integration & Optimization
Serve as lead on the migration from Raiser’s Edge to the new CRM, including data mapping, staff training, vendor coordination, and system documentation.
Manage and maintain integrations between CRM and platforms such as Mailchimp, Classy, Eventbrite, and others.
Identify and implement new tools that support fundraising operations, efficiency, and scale.
Development Operations Management
Train and oversee Advancement Associate in CRM best practices, reporting tools, and data hygiene protocols. Train gift officers to use the systems efficiently and consistently.
Maintain internal user documentation and serve as the in-house expert on donor data systems.
Manage gift processing, acknowledgments, receipting, and reconciliation workflows.
Ensure accurate coding for appeals, events, campaigns, and tribute gifts.
Support finance in monthly reconciliation and donor record auditing.
Coordinate with marketing, finance, and leadership on cross-functional projects and reporting.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Generate standard and custom reports to monitor giving trends, retention, and campaign outcomes as well as track weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual KPI’s.
Build dashboards to visualize fundraising metrics and track progress toward goals.
Forecast revenue trends and inform campaign strategy through donor behavior analysis.
Prospect Research & Donor Profiling
Conduct research using tools like iWave, DonorSearch, and public records to identify high potential donors and prospects.
Create detailed donor profiles to support gift officer outreach and cultivation.
Segment donor lists for personalized communications and stewardship activities
Donor Pipeline & Portfolio Management
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive system for managing donor pipelines and gift officer portfolios.
Collaborate with gift officers to ensure portfolios are strategically balanced, with an appropriate mix of prospects at various stages of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Track and report on moves management activity to ensure timely progression of donor relationships through the pipeline.
Regularly analyze donor data to identify gaps, reassign lapsed prospects, and surface new opportunities for engagement.
Prepare and distribute individualized portfolio performance reports to gift officers and leadership, highlighting key metrics such as visit activity, proposal status, and gift outcomes.
Facilitate regular portfolio review meetings, providing strategic recommendations to optimize fundraising efforts and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; push and pull heavy objects; bend, twist, reach; perform strenuous physical activities including frequent walking and running, standing, bending, and stooping.?
Should not be allergic to animals or nuts; must be able to work around all animals and nut products.
Must be able to work with industrial strength cleaners and disinfectants.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in nonprofit database management, donor data analytics, or fundraising operations
Advanced knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and direct experience with Salesforce (NPSP or similar)
Proven success managing a CRM migration or leading large-scale system implementation
Proficiency in Excel and data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce reports, Power BI, Tableau)
Familiarity with fundraising platforms such as Classy, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, or similar tools
Strong analytical and project management skills; ability to translate data into actionable insight
High attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills
Experience with gift processing workflows and nonprofit compliance standards
Commitment to donor privacy and ethical data use

Compensation : $55,000 - $65,000 DOE
